Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
The first protection we ensure is that Food for the Hungry never sells, rents or exchanges your personal information with any individual or organization for any purpose, ever. Nor do we share names or contact information externally without permission. This policy applies to all information received by the Food for the Hungry, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. Use of your information is restricted to persons employed or contracted by Food for the Hungry who agree to abide by our pledge of confidentiality. Food for the Hungry makes every effort to ensure the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Food for the Hungry uses Internet Encryption Software, Transport Layer Security (TLS) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, then tokenized to permanently remove access to your credit card information in our database. Food for the Hungry adheres to the PCI Security Standards.
